Summer is here (almost), so we brought together Kelowna’s Kettle River Brewing Co. and Vancouver’s Doan’s Craft Brewing Co. to create something to help us beat the heat for the latest edition of The Growler’s B.C. Brewer Collaboration Series.
This delicious wheat ale is a refreshing West Coast take on the traditional German weissbier, with a generous dry-hopping of Mandarina Bavaria and Hallertau Blanc hops. Fruity, crisp with a dash of citrus, pine and berries, this beer is the perfect company for the beach and sunshine to come.
The Growler’s quarterly collaboration series features breweries from different parts of the province that have never worked with each other before. The goal is to get people excited about B.C. craft beer, encourage collaboration in the craft beer industry and, y’know, brew some really frickin’ good beer.
We will be releasing a new beer every quarter, corresponding with every new issue of The Growler, B.C.’s Craft Beer Guide. The label of each beer release incorporates the cover art from each new issue.
Weiss Weiss Baby (5.0% ABV, 20 IBU) is available June 1 in 650mL bottles at better private liquor stores and bottle shops province-wide, including:

Weiss Weiss Baby will also be on tap at Doan’s Craft Brewing Co. and Kettle River Brewing for a limited time, as well as at 12 Kings Pub and Faculty Brewing Co. in Vancouver. You can also sample it this weekend at The Growler booth at the Vancouver Craft Beer Week Festival at the PNE Fairgrounds, this Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3.
