Red Truck gets soulful

Red Truck’s always awesome Truck Stop Concert Series is back again this Saturday, July 14, with Seattle R&B singer Allen Stone bringing his deeply-inspired soul stylings to the outdoor stage, along with Nick Waterhouse, the Elwins, Altameda, Antonio Larosa and the Eleven Twelves.

The show starts at 4pm and there’s less than 100 tickets left, so you’d better get on it, pronto. Visit TruckStopConcertSeries.com for tickets.

Great Canadian Beer Fest tickets on sale

The Great Canadian Beer Festival is returning Sept. 7 and 8 to Royal Athletic Park in Victoria and tickets are on sale now. This year marks the 26th edition for Canada’s longest running craft beer festival. More than 60 breweries and cideries will be on hand, pouring 250-plus tasty adult beverages, along with live music and food trucks.

New for this year is the B.C. Ale Trail-er—featuring beer from 10 breweries across the province on the B.C. Ale Trail—as well as the Alberta Brewers Tent, showcasing the beers of our neighbour to the east.

More than 9,000 people are expected to attend over the weekend, and if you’d like to be one of them, visit GCBF.com for info on tickets, or to learn about how you can volunteer for the event.

Field House having a Field Day

Field House’s annual outdoor sour beer and music festival is back Aug. 11 at the brewery’s beer lawn in Abbotsford. Seven breweries will be on hand pouring sour beers of all description, including Four Winds, Strange Fellows, Powell, Ravens, Aslan Brewing, Steel and Oak and Luppolo. The music lineup is almost as impressive, with sets from Ryan McAllister and the North Country Gentlemen, Jamison, Chilladelphia, Coalmont, and Crescent Sky.

It’s kind of like a mini Farmhouse Fest, which means you should probably get your tickets pronto, because they’ll probably be sold out soon. FieldHouseBrewing.com
