Tickets to the B.C. Beer Awards go on sale today (as in, right now) with VIP passes and discounted early bird general admission tickets available for the Oct. 20 event.
The ninth annual event returns to the Croatian Cultural Centre in Vancouver and features more than 55 of the best breweries from across the province, each pouring award-winning beers. It’s also one of the few festivals where the brewers themselves are actually there working the taps, so feel free to pester them with tons of questions (I know I do!).
Organizers will be handing out awards for more than 30 beer categories, as well as the Creative Industry Awards for marketing and packaging. This year’s brewers’ challenge category is fresh-hopped beer, so expect dozens of delicious, hoppy creations to sample. There’s also going to be live music and food trucks, naturally, and The Growler will be there, too, pouring our very own collaboration beer.
The VIP tickets ($55) get you early entry and access to the actual awards ceremony, which runs from 4-5pm, as well as your souvenir tasting glass, welcome drink, program, six drink tokens and a B.C. Transit Get Home Safe Ticket.
The general admission tickets ($35) include 5pm entry, your tasting glass, four drink tickets, program and the transit pass.
The B.C. Beer Awards sell out every year (because it’s awesome), so if you want to go, you’d better grab some tickets ASAP. Go to BCBeerAwards.com/tickets-2018 right this second before they’re all gone and you have to listen to all your smart friends who bought tickets in time talk about it for the next year about how awesome it was and how much fun they had. Don’t let that happen!
