Freehouse Collective is pleased to bring back the delicious holiday tradition of “donation by libation” with the return of Goodwill Lager. Each year, Freehouse Collective partners with one of its favourite local breweries to make a batch of beer, then wraps it in seasonal artwork and sells it at all their venues, donating $2 from the sale of every beer to its annual toy drive.

This year, Bar & Beverage Director Trevor Kallies worked with Phillips Brewing to create an outstandingly drinkable American pale lager which pours a bright golden yellow colour, with a foamy white head. Beer aficionados will appreciate the light malt grain on the nose, cereal sweetness, bread, and hint of apple, while everyone else will love that it’s crisp and refreshing and gives to a great cause.

The Freehouse Collective Toy Drive has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in toys to its charitable partner the Salvation Army over the last 20 years and Goodwill Lager helps add to that total. This year, demand from families is expected to be higher than ever, and they have upped the per can donation from $1 to $2 to help make sure as many kids as possible are able to share the joy of the holiday season.

Phillips Brewing x Freehouse Collective Goodwill Lager is available now at all Freehouse Collective locations in both Vancouver and Toronto. Beer lovers can do their part to make Christmas a little brighter for deserving kids by ordering one. Or maybe two.
