The Growler is pleased to announce the first edition of our B.C. Brewers Collaboration Series: Experimental Belgian Ale by the mad scientists at Category 12 Brewing and Faculty Brewing Co.
Brewed with Saphir and Calypso hops, this fruit-forward, slightly hazy Belgian pale ale features notes of pineapple, pear, stonefruit, tropical citrus and pine, with a tart, dry finish thanks to the Golden Pear Belgian yeast.
The Experimental Belgian Ale will be available March 3 in 650mL bottles at select private liquor stores across the province. In Vancouver, you can find Experimental Belgian Ale at Coal Harbour Liquor Store, High Point Beer Wine Spirits, Crosstown Liquor Store, West Coast Liquor Company (Fraser and Kerrisdale), Legacy Liquor Store and Darby’s Liquor Store, as well as South Point Liquor Store in Surrey. In Victoria, Experimental Belgian Ale is available at Cascadia Liquor Store (Quadra, Langford and Eagle Creek), Swans Liquor Store, Cook Street Village Liquor and Spinnakers Spirit Merchants (Vic West and James Bay).
Experimental Belgian Ale will also be available on tap for a limited time at Garrick’s Head (Victoria), The Railway Stage & Beer Café (Vancouver) and The Churchill Pub (Victoria).

B.C. Brewers Collaboration Series
The Growler’s quarterly collaboration series features breweries from different parts of the province that have never worked with each other before. The goal is to get people excited about B.C. craft beer, encourage collaboration in the craft beer industry and, y’know, brew some really frickin’ good beer.
We will be releasing a new beer every quarter, corresponding with every new issue of The Growler, B.C.’s Craft Beer Guide. The label of each beer release incorporates the cover art from each new issue.
