How is it already 2026?!
We’re back to the real world, 10lbs heavier between the weight of resolutions and leftovers, while the things we said we’d “circle back to” are doing loops above us like vultures. Buckle up because against all odds, it’s shaping up to be quite the year!
So far, we’ve had one brewery open with another set to pull the trigger any day now. With new developments such as these, and 2025 officially six feet under and encased in concrete, is it safe to say we’re cautiously optimistic?

Help Recover Deadhead’s Pergola
Yes, we had to look it up too.
The morning of December 27th, a fire pit and pergola were stolen from the Duncan brewery’s cozy and welcoming patio. The fire pit has since been recovered, unfortunately broken, but the pergola (essentially a canopy) remains at large.
If you have any information, please get in touch with the brewery privately.

Know Before You Go

While we prefer our January a little, well, damp, some breweries take Dry January as an opportunity for a refresh or switch to winter hours. While it’s always best to check in before you go, here is a small list of breweries that are taking a beat:
- Locality Brewing is temporarily closed and set to reopen in February; pick up options are still available.
- Stanley Park Brewing reopens January 14th.
- Streetcar Brewing is closed January 12-15th.
- Tofino Brewing is closed until January 29th.

MIX PACK: Low or No ABV Edition
In keeping with Dry January, we’re showcasing a couple of low or no ABV options!

Four Winds Ultralite
Ultralite is just that—ultra light! Weighing in at 2.9%, what this brew lacks in ABV, it more than makes up for in full-flavoured juicy IPA character: topical, hazy, easy, and available in 6-packs.

Sea Cider Temperance Series
The Temperance Series offers all of the flavour and sparkle of Sea Cider’s handcrafted cider without the alcohol. Eden, Roxie, Chérie, Bonnie and Ava all start with a base of delicious B.C. apples, blending florals and berries for unique character.
Plus, partial proceeds support Canadian programs that nurture physical, social and mental well-being.
