Since opening just before the arrival of the pandemic, Camp Beer Co. has worked hard to establish itself as an important member of the community in Langley. Its beautiful tasting room and spacious outdoor patio helped develop a huge local following, earning the brewery some major awards along the way: Best Tasting Room in last year’s Growlies, the BC Ale Trail’s Best Brewery Experience, and Best Taproom at the BC Beer Awards. The word has obviously spread beyond the beer-crazy community of Langley because now Camp Beer Co. can also lay claim to the Growlie for the Best Brewery in B.C. Congratulations!
Camp Beer Co. was founded by Dave Henry and Kevin Larsen, two friends who brewed beer together as part of the local Full Barrel Homebrew Club and spent their spare time visiting breweries all over the Lower Mainland. On one of those brewery tours they connected with another beer lover, Jamie Schreder, who would become their business partner in opening this brewery.
The Growlie Award-winning branding is all about celebrating their love of the great outdoors — enjoying a beer while sitting around a campfire or playing cards at a picnic table. It’s easy to enjoy the outdoors at the brewery thanks to the tasting room’s roll-up doors and the big south-facing, dog-friendly outdoor patio. Customers are encouraged to enjoy their beer outside, rain or shine, sitting around the fire on the patio just as they would while camping. Speaking of beer, the lineup has something for everyone, and Camp’s kitchen will keep your appetite satisfied while you sip those delicious beers.
