A Grand Tour of Beer

Nov. 8, 7:30 p.m. • Port Theatre, Nanaimo

Come along on a beer-soaked musical journey through five regions of Europe, each with its own unique tradition of classical music and brewing. Joe Wiebe, the Thirsty Writer, will be your host, introducing you to the beers of each region, while you listen to musical performances by the Luchkow-Stadlen-Jarvis Trio. There will be a special emphasis on audience participation through the inclusion of classical drinking songs. Dancing on the tables will not necessarily be discouraged. Riot Brewing turns three

Nov. 9, 2 p.m.-12 a.m. • Riot Brewing, Chemainus

Come celebrate Riot Brewing’s continuing stubborn existence with a killer party! Limited edition casks and infusions tapped at 2 p.m., with live music starting at 6 p.m. from the Grinning Barretts, Lawson Kelly, Kush and the Daisy Stranglers. Free admission.

Winterbrau is back and bigger than ever with two days of big seasonal brews for its eighth year.
