Phillips Brewing sure knows how to throw a party, and this year’s edition of its annual Backyard Weekender concert series, July 26-28, is sure to be another rager.
The fun starts on Friday, July 26, with a definite Caribbean flavour, thanks to reggae legends Steel Pulse, as well as the venerable DJ Z-Trip, who will be performing a reggae set. Saturday is all about the beats, with American rapper Danny Brown headlining, supported by Canadian hip hop legend k-os and rising star Merkules. Brooklyn indie rockers Dirty Projectors headline Sunday, with Canadian alternative hip hop artist and former CBC Q host Shad in support.
Weekend passes are $99.95, with single day tickets for $39.50. Check out BackyardWeekender.com for online ticket sales.
