Here’s what we’re substituting water with this week…
Ultra Colour by Yellow Dog Brewing
Amber IPA • 6.0% ABV • 60 IBU • 473 mL tall cans
This hybrid IPA from Port Moody’s Yellow Dog Brewing has the malt backbone of an amber ale to balance out and accentuate an assertive hop profile. “Flavourful, hoppy, and dank; this is an adventurous IPA to add some color to the wet and cold winter months,” according to the brewery.
The Young & Free by Vice & Virtue Brewing
Australian sparkling ale • 5.4% ABV • 37 IBU • 473 mL tall cans
Kelowna’s Vice & Virtue Brewing made this light, bright, and punchy Australian sparkling ale entirely with Australian Enigma and Vic Secret hops. The Young & Free promises big aromas of pineapple, pine, white wine, and passion fruit, with a bone dry finish and bright, sparkling carbonation. For every four-pack and 16-ounce glass sold at the brewery, Vice & Virtue is donating $2 to Country Fire Authority to help with the Australian bushfire relief.
Cold Brew Black Lager by Old Yale Brewing
Black Lager • 5.5% ABV • 20 IBU • 473 mL tall cans
This collaboration between Chilliwack’s Old Yale Brewing and Smoking Gun Coffee Roasters is a modern take on the traditional German Schwarzbier dark lager. This cold brew-inspired beer features roasted malt and espresso character thanks to conditioning on Ethiopia Kaffa Bongo beans. Lagered to provide a light body with a smooth, crisp and dry finish, with Hersbrucker, Sterling and Saaz hops
