Here’s what we’re spending our hard-earned money on this week…
Little Red One by Strange Fellows Brewing
6.5% ABV • 750 mL bottles
Previously brewed and bottled exclusively for Strange Fellows’ Fellowship members in 2017 (and winner of Best European Sour at the B.C. Beer Awards), Little Red One is back as a limited release for 2019. This complex lambic-style sour ale was barrel-aged for more than a year with Fraser Valley black currants, offering notes of oak, black tea, dark fruit and tobacco.
Passion Fruit Sour by Twa Dogs Brewery
5.5% ABV • 650 mL bottles
Delightfully tart and fruity, there’s no mistaking the big passion fruit flavour in this well-balanced sour ale. Available in bombers that are great for sharing, but you’ll probably want to save this one all for yourself.
One Trick Pilsner by Cannery Brewing
6.0% ABV • 35 IBU • 473 mL tall cans
Cannery’s One Trick Pilsner is never around for very long, and that’s a shame. The Penticton brewery has nailed this refreshing, dry-hopped lager that pairs perfectly with hot, sunny Okanagan summer days.
