Pilsner • 5.0% ABV • 473 mL tall cans

The days are getting lighter, and Burnaby’s Dageraad Brewing has brewed a beer to match. This crispy boi returns clean and bright, with peppery Belgian notes on a bready malt base. According to the brewery, “We brewed it last year because we had unused tank space. We brewed it this year because we liked it so damn much.” Available Thursday at the brewery, or next week when it starts rolling out to store shelves. It will also be ready to order online at Dageraad’s webstore as of this Wednesday afternoon for launch day deliveries.

West Coast IPA • 7.0% ABV • 80 IBU • 355 mL cans

This balanced take on the classic hop-forward IPA by Victoria’s Vancouver Island Brewing is full of floral aroma and flavour, with gobs of citrus and pine. Further proof that when it comes to hip hop, surf beaches and IPAs, the West Coast is the Best Coast.
