To say it has been one heck of a last 18 months (or so) would be an understatement! And, let’s be honest, we could all use a little getaway—especially one that happens to be built around a craft beer itinerary and set in one of the most picturesque destinations in BC. Just saying.
Tourism Whistler, in partnership with Gibbons Whistler, has got you covered all through October with a myriad of craft beer-themed experiences ranging from exclusive releases, and tastings and tours, to axe throwing, trivia and even beer yoga.
We took a moment to plan our own little programme and round up some of the highlights of the inaugural Whistler Craft Beer Month:
What: Sip N’ Stretch
Where: Westin Resort & Spa The Mountain Club
When: Oct 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th from 6 – 7 PM
Every Thursday in October, sip on a complementary local craft brew and enjoy an hour-long beer yoga session! Registration is by donation of $10 and all proceeds will go towards Whistler Community Services Society. Yes, it totally counts as exercise and does some good; we’ll go to the mat on that!

What: 14 Beer Paddle Tasting Flight
Where: Braidwood Tavern, Four Seasons Resort & Spa
When: All month long!
Styled after the classic mountainside cabin, Braidwood is the place to gather and swap stories après-anything! They will feature a special 14 paddle tasting flight of local craft taps, highlighting the best breweries across the Sea to Sky region. Minimum of three people to share. Let us know if you need volunteers!

What: Coast Mountain Brewing x BETA5 Chocolate Tasting Flight
Where: Cure Lounge & Patio at Nita Lake Lodge
When: All month long!
Coast Mountain Brewing and BETA5 chocolates team up to create the perfect pairing. Cure Lounge & Patio at Nita Lake Lodge will feature a signature beer and chocolate flight as part of Whistler Craft Beer Month on their menu all month long. We’ll take two!

What: Humblebee Meadery + Axewood Axe Throwing

We’re pretty sure that no craft beer event is complete without axe throwing! The Whistler Racket Club presents: Huck it in the Bucket! This month long event, any Axewood Axe Throwing booking of 4+ comes with a bucket of mead from HumbleBee Meadery and a flatbread from Courtside Cafe.
