Time is running out to grab tickets to Canada’s original Craft Beer Festival!

The Great Canadian Beer Festival will take place on Friday, September 9 (4-9pm) and Saturday, September 10 (12-5pm) at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria, BC.

The 28th edition of Canada’s original craft beer festival dating back to 1993 is returning after a two-year hiatus. Festival goers will have the opportunity to taste beers they can’t find anywhere else in British Columbia, including beers from all across Canada! This premium tasting event features 250 different beers from 90 breweries from coast to coast, most of them served by the brewers themselves. It’s a rare opportunity to talk to these folks about what makes their beer special, and to try some new and classic brews from their lineup. Some breweries will serve cask-conditioned beers exclusively produced for the festival. There will also be two cideries and one gluten-free brewery.

The weather is looking perfect for a weekend beer tasting extravaganza. Delicious eats will also be available, with eight of the city’s best food trucks on site keeping patrons nourished while they sip and sample. This lineup includes Taco Justice, Burger Crush, Bird & Basket, Roast, L’Authentique Poutine, Mama Rosies, The Deep Friar, and Ali Baba Pizza.

In addition to exploring the best craft beer Canada has to offer, there is plenty of fun entertainment planned for the weekend event. Try out a 100ft long inflatable obstacle course to test your physical agility with the side benefit of providing entertainment for the onlookers! The Vancouver Island Blacksmith Association will also be on site forging custom bottle openers and beer accessories. On Saturday afternoon in the shaded beer tent there will be a live Oktoberfest band to set the perfect atmosphere — plus The Zone’s DJ Boitano will also be on site pumping out the tunes.

More than 3,500 people are expected to attend each day of this two-day festival, which is held at Royal Athletic Park, just walking distance from downtown Victoria.

Single-day tickets are $45, and a two-day pass is $80. Members of Victoria Beer Society can still get discounted tickets for $10 off.
