Spring has sprung with delightful, refreshing beers, and Steamworks Brewing’s new Yuzu Gose promises to turn your thoughts of fancy to love.

Yuzu Gose offers tangy citrus flavours with a tart finish. Vancouver Island Salt Company’s sea salt was added to balance out the Japanese yuzu fruit, creating a subtly salty gose finish, according to the brewery. The beer pours a light gold and leads with citrus aromas. Yuzu Gose comes in 473 mL tall cans and is available at select private liquor stores and on tap at the Steamworks Brewery & Taproom now.

Duality Farmhouse Brett Single by Category 12 Brewing (collab with Luppolo Brewing)

6.0% ABV • 13 IBU • 650 mL bottles

This funky farmhouse ale gets it fruity flavour from Brettanomyces yeast working its magic on organic buckwheat. Through the magic of science, Brett is able to convert an acid abundant in buckwheat to ethyl caprylate, which smells like fresh pineapple. The beer is bottle conditioned to help preserve the fruit flavour and aroma. Available in Category 12 and Luppolo’s taproom, as well as limited private craft beer stores.
