Here’s what we’re really drinking out of our coffee cup during the Zoom meeting with head office this week…

The second instalment in Main Street’s space series, Cosmic Dancer is packed with antipodean  Eclipse, Topaz and Cascade hops straight from down under. Juicy and hazy, with citrus-laden notes of mandarin orange, grapefruit and pine. Available fresh on tap at Main Street’s tasting room, and in four-packs at the brewery and select private liquor stores.

Watermelon Jalapeno Sour Ale • 5.5% ABV • 8 IBU • 473 mL tall cans

Watermelons, jalapenos and Simpsons references are the trio no one knew they wanted but everyone needs. Leave to Squamish’s Backcountry Brewing to create a Ralph Wiggum-inspired beer that’s a little bit fruity, a little bit sour and a little bit… bitey. Please note: This beer contains fresh, unfermented fruit juice, so if you leave it unrefrigerated, you can expect something like this to happen. Available only at the brewery in cans and on draft.

Imperial Stout with Rum & Tahitian Vanilla by Field House Brewing

Imperial Stout • 10.7% ABV • 25 IBU • 650 mL bottles

Field House’s first-ever imperial stout is a boozy doozy, clocking in at close to 11% ABV. According to the brewery, “we pushed the limits of our brewhouse to create this intense beer. Boiling for hours to concentrate the flavours and sugars, this Imperial Stout also features Tahitian Vanilla beans extracted in house using barrel-aged rum, which provides sweetness and balance to the bitter roasted malt character.” Yes, please!
