Here’s what we’re trading in our empties for this week…
Forgotten Future by Dageraad Brewing
Table saison • 4.2% ABV • 473 mL tall cans
Forgotten Future is a crushable, crisp beer brewed with French saison yeast, with black limes and white pepper for a layer of spice. And if Burnaby’s Dageraad Brewing has anything to say about it, this table saison is the future of beer. “Much like hoverboards, moon colonies, and global economic stability, saisons may not have become the cultural apex we predicted, but that won’t stop us from dreaming,” says the brewery.
Quad by Trading Post Brewing
Belgian-style quadrupel • 10.4% ABV • 21 IBU • 650 mL bottles
Cheers to four years! Langley’s Trading Post Brewing is celebrating its birthday with a robust and flavourful Belgian-style quadrupel that promises notes of dark fruits and nut with a strong boozy finish.
Nocturnum Galactica
Barrel-aged Dark IPA • 7.0% ABV • 750 mL bottles
This unique and complex dark IPA was barrel-aged with Brettanomyces. According to Strange Fellows, the aroma is slightly candy-like with a rich eucalyptus note and the flavour is reminiscent of chocolate and fig. This beer first came out as part of Strange Fellows’ first Fellowship program in 2015. Owing to popular interest the brewery decided to make it again and the result is similar but even more fruity and complex.
