If there’s one thing we love more than beer in general, it’s beer with a cause. Especially one that helps foster the arts in the community, comes in a stylish package, and tastes pretty damn good too!

Founded in 2016, the Vancouver Mural Festival is a non-profit arts organization that is devoted to connecting people through art and transforming the way art is experienced in Vancouver. In addition to curating community events such as the Vancouver Mural Festival and the upcoming VMF Winter Arts, VMF it is responsible for creating over 300 murals to date, including one at East Van’s Container Brewing.

Inspired to give back, Container, in collaboration with generous industry partners Great Little Box Company, BSG, Hops Connect, and Vessel Packaging, created a beer to both help showcase and give back to artists in the community.

Released in a four-pack, each can features the artwork of Benjamin T. Stone, Sasha Mbabazi, Joslyn Reid, and Sitji Chou. Passion Project Hazy IPA weighs in at 6% and is generously hopped with a hefty dose of passion fruit (from both the yeast and a big dose of fresh passion fruit juice), resulting in a punchy little number that finishes slightly tart.

Passion Project is available now at the brewery, specialty liquor stores, and online.
