On Tap: New Releases from Postmark, Faculty, and Red Collar

Here’s what’s new at the beer store this week…

Postmark Brewing, Winter Warmer (5.8% ABV 51 IBU)

Warm your bones with this malty, hoppy treat. Dark, rich malts are balanced by Northwest hops for a complex winter ale made without spices, pumpkins or any other unnecessary ingredients that would make a German cry.

Faculty Brewing, 323 Sourweisse (5.2% ABV 16 IBU)

This beer might earn you upper-level credits, but Faculty’s Sourweisse is an easy A. Kettle soured with fat-free yogurt, this wheat ale is tart and refreshing with notes of citrus, pine and subtle spicy esters.

Red Collar Brewing Co., Mild English Dark Ale (3.8% ABV 32 IBU)

Traditional English styles don’t get the same respect as their sexy Belgian and German cousins, and that’s a shame. Red Collar’s take on the English mild is well-balanced and “moreish,” with an North American twist, thanks to Canadian 2-Row malt, Ahtanum and Mosaic hops, and of course, Kamloops water.
