It’s that time of year! Craft beer advent calendar season!
Central City Brewers + Distillers and Parallel 49 Brewing Company announced today they are once again collaborating on an advent-style beer calendar with this year’s Seasons Greetings 24-Pack.
This year’s “calendar” is packaged to look like a festive gift, and features 24 seasonal favourites as well as some brand new exclusive beers you won’t be able to find anywhere else (we assume).
Central City and Parallel 49 are each chipping in a dozen beers each to the 24-pack, including five limited release craft beers that took home awards at the recent 2016 BC Beer Awards.
The 2016 Seasons Greetings 24-Pack will be available at liquor stores across Western Canada later this month, and if previous years are anything to go by, they’re not going to last long.
For the unfamiliar, Seasons Greetings 24-Pack works like a traditional advent calendar, with each date revealing a new beer that is kept secret until the day arrives to open it. This year’s calendar will include a variety of unique beer styles like sours, stouts, scotch ales, and porters, to tried and true classics like winter ales, IPAs, and pale ales.
Beer fans will be able to get a sneak peak of the exclusive beers at two public tap takeover events in Vancouver: Nov. 1 at Central City Brewpub on Beatty St., and Nov. 7 at St. Augustine’s Craft Brew House & Kitchen (both events run from 6-10pm, and are free to attend).
